Office paper, regardless of the promises of the 'paperless office' is essential to our working environments. Therefore there will always be waste because we keep creating it.
A reception area or sentry control using pinPoint.me is mitigating the need for visitor sign-in books and other paper-based systems for managing people presence. However we recognise that our customers' sites'' may, for security or health and safety reasons, elect to print visitor labels - which requires the use of paper and printers – both of which have an impact on the environment.
At Locatingus we want to reduce both our own and that of our customers 'environmental footprint' by doing something to help off-set some of the carbon emissions generated by the use of visitor labels, printers, and PC's.
In partnership with Carbon.org we commit to plant two trees EVERY year, for each of our customers sites. A living tree absorbs carbon dioxide from the air and stores the carbon as wood. Clients recieve a Certificate listing number detailing the type of trees, GPS location and equivalent lifetime carbon content.
